Welcome to Autumn
I can’t believe how quickly the Summer has flown by. One minute you’re killed by the heat, the next you’re freezing your nadgers off. Of course with the onset of Autumn comes Country Sporting Seasons, the time I love most. Shooting is well underway as is Autumn Trail Hunting. The Hunting season Opening Meets are just around the corner with some packs already started, so I thought that it would be a good time to update the website with lots of new stock we’ve accumulated over the Summer. Summer is always busy for us, exhibiting at country fairs and Hunt open days and giving the odd talk on Sporting Art here and there. It’s always the time of year when the website gets neglected the most – not that its ever up to date – but we do our best. The darker nights help greatly as there are less distractions. Over the next few weeks we’ll be adding lots of new and interesting pictures by our main artists Snaffles aka Charlie Johnson Payne, Cecil Aldin, Lionel Edwards, F.A. Stewart, Basil Nightingale, Gilbert Holiday, Tom Carr as well as enhanced sections of John King‘s work and expanding our portfolio of Polo, Indian, Pigsticking and Military Art and pictures. Sadly, there are no ‘mini prints’ (Plates taken from books) here, only original sporting art. We’ve also lots of new stock by some lesser known artists but more on that another day. In the meantime, kick on and have a good season.
